Stinnet has Surgery

Freshman guard P’Allen Stinnet went under the knife on Monday. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on Monday to repair torn cartilage in his knee reports Omaha.com, according to two people knowledgeable of the situation. He is expected to be out of commission for 6 – 8 weeks.

He injured his leg by falling during a pick up game on the Creighton University campus. He had also been playing well in the Council Bluffs Summer Draft League where his teammates are also playing.

Stinnet is expected to compete for a starting position on the Bluejay roster this upcoming season. The loss of shooting guard Isaac Miles leaves the door wide open for him. I'll keep you updated on the situation as I hear more. I would guess he'd be back to 100% by the time the season starts, but he may miss a trip to Canada where the Bluejays will play in a tournament in a few months.
