Recent Prediction has Bluejays 60th in the nation, 3rd in the Valley

It's too early to have an idea what Creighton Men's basketball is all about this season. However, everyone still wants to see the preseason predictions. A recent Creighton basketball preview for the 2007-2008 season has the Jays ranked #60 in the nation - a fair assessment. The article was from collegehoopsnet.com.

We certainly have an upside with the talent on our team. The "x-factors" are team chemistry and how good our defense will be, especially after losing a fine defender in Isaac Miles.

The preview also had the Bluejay hoopsters ranked #3 in the Missouri Valley. This means nothing to me. A number of teams can win the valley this year and with coach Altman on our sideline, we always have a shot of taking the conference.

In summary, I believe a #60 ranking is fair at this point, but that is the absolute worst ranking I can see us falling into. We could very easily jump into the top 30-40 teams with good play by our undeveloped team. It's all just speculation at this point, so we'll just have to wait and see.
