OK, so Drexel turned out to be an easy test on the road. They are struggling bad, though they have had success in the past few years. Tomorrow, however, we will see what the Bluejays are really made of when they take the court with No. 21 Xavier in Cincy.
A win here has to propel Creighton into the top 25, but I'm getting ahead of myself. The press has been extremely effective this year, but how will it fare against a top 25 team? Creighton will need to create turnovers and not give any away to beat a solid Musketeer team at home in front of a raucous crowd.
Some questions are still unanswered. Can Altman really expect to play as many combinations as he has against better opponents and expect to win? I think we will still see a lot of line changes, but not as many as we have. If a player is hot in this game, you can expect them to stay on the floor. The starting lineup may stay the same tomorrow night, I'm not sure, but P'Allen Stinnet will need to be on the floor to give the Jays and edge. Expect consistency from Dotzler, but Witter may get some more minutes if the offense needs a spark. I would expect Dane Watts to play a large majority of this game and play well as he has all season long.
Prediction: Xavier 68, Creighton 64
