Bluejays bounce back against St. Joseph's

Creigthon bounced back this weekend from a loss against Xavier and a deficit against St. Joe's late in the second half. Dane Watts came up huge with two late free throw with the pressure on to send the battle into overtime. Dane Watts has to be in the game. I will be shocked if he does not play over 30 minutes per game for the rest of the season (given that he is not in foul trouble). Say what you want about this guy, but I believe he has improved just as much as Tolliver did during his stint with the Jays. Watts has been carrying this young team on his back with inconsistent play from young players like P'Allen Stinnet and Cavel Witter.

I would love to tell you Dotzler had a great game and he would have if not for 7 turnovers. Other than that, he was very solid. Not enough can be said about Hibma, either. The guy comes in and work hard, and when they need him, he steps up.

The Jays have some time off now, with their next game being at the Qwest Center against Houston Baptist on December 17th. This game, along with the two following, should be easy wins for the Jays. If all goes well (and it should with the upcoming competition) the Jays will be cruising into conference play with a record of 9-1. Conference play begins at home for the Bluejays when they host Illinois State on December 29th.

Prediction: Dane Watts will be on the All-Conference Team at the end of the year
