Young Jays are in trouble after second straight Valley loss

I just have two things to say and then I'll sit back and see if Altman can transform this team, which he certainly has the capability to do.

1. P'Allen Stinnet is not your savior. I've become annoyed with everyone blabbing about him. Why? Because he had two high scoring games? Because he's a guard that can dunk? The fact is he is talented. And, he is going to be special. But right now he is no better than anyone else on the court. He comes in and turns the ball over by dribbling too much, gets cheap fouls and takes some horrendous shot selections. With that being said, don't think I'm bashing the guy. I think he's awesome and once he settles down and lets the game come to him, he should be able to be a huge part of this team. I'm just trying to get everyone to be realistic about where he's at in this system right now. The first half of last nights game says it all. He game in for about 6 minutes, went 0-for-3, had 3 turnovers and 2 fouls.

2. If I hear Matt Perrault or some fair-weather fan sitting behind me bitch about the starters one more time I might pull my hair out. Are they the most talented players on the team? Of course not, but they have the most experience. What makes you think another lineup is so much better? They would be falling behind by the same amount if not more. As poor as Dotzler has been, Witter has been worse. He's young and out-of-control. There's no way he could start. Stinnet will be the man at some point, but right now, they wouldn't be able to set any sort of tempo with him throwing up bad shots and trying to drive on every play. I hope the lineup changes in the next few weeks, because that will mean others are stepping it up, but it there is no reason at this point that anyone else should start.

That's my rant. I'm a bit upset because the Jays look pathetic, so feel free to comment if you disagree with what I have said. The bottom line is that the press isn't working and they need to play better defense.
